Private family cremation estates are a new option at Resurrection Cemetery located in Clermont, Cape May County, just off of Route 9. These estates focus on keeping families together who have chosen cremation. Private family cremations estates allow cremated remains to be placed in above ground niche cabinets.
The family chooses the size of the cabinet based upon the number of remains they would like to inurn. Each estate honors the family and those buried by memorializing the family name typically on the top of the niche cabinet. Also, an additional option is the ability to purchase ground graves for cremated remains that would be buried in front of the cabinet.
Families also have the option to purchase a Garden Permit which allows them to plant and cultivate a lovely garden. In many cases, we offer the option to purchase additional memorialization items such as benches, trees and statues.
Once the family determines the number of burials, the cemetery staff will show available locations that will accommodate the family’s wishes. In essence, the family cremation estate is designed for as small or as large of a family as needed. Upon diocesan management team approval of the design and size of the cremation estate, the family purchases the niche cabinet from an authorized monument dealer. Cremation estates offer a unique setting for family members to visit, reflect and pray for the deceased. Cremation estates allow families to choose to be privately inurned or buried close together in a professionally landscaped family plot.
