Support Wreaths Across America at Holy Cross Cemetery | Ceremony to be held Saturday, December 19, at noon.
Located in Mays Landing, St. Vincent de Paul Church in cooperation with Holy Cross Cemetery is participating in Wreaths Across America! On Saturday, December 19, parish members, along with other local area groups will meet and place Christmas Remembrance wreaths on the graves of veterans in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Please note wreaths will be placed on ground burial plots.
Around Christmastime every year since 1992, Wreaths Across America volunteers have placed thousands of wreaths on the graves at Arlington National Cemetery. This is the 4th year that Holy Cross Cemetery will be supporting Wreaths Across America. With the help of the community, we reached our goal last year. Help us again this year! Our goal is to place 2,500 wreaths at Holy Cross Cemetery and other local cemeteries in the area.
Essentially there are two parts to the event. First, is sponsorship of a wreath. The deadline to sponsor a wreath is Wednesday, December 2nd. Donate $17 to sponsor a Christmas wreath. The second part is volunteering to join us on Saturday, December 19th, and help place the wreaths on veterans’ graves. Please consider sponsoring one or more wreaths to honor our veterans this Christmas season. Click on the parish link below to support St. Vincent de Paul parish food bank.
The St. Vincent de Paul Regional School is also participating. Should you wish to support the school, simply follow the directions below.
